New Age
New age
Our generation is dealing with a tough and weird times. Covid-19 has rewritten our routines and designed new social rules. With this illustrations I’m going to show you some ridiculous, funny and strange situations our most stereotyped characters and has to deal with.
Minesweeper
Covid is making a huge impact Covid in economy, beating hardly hostelry and others sectors. With this illustration I want to convey the situation from the customers perspective. We have to deal with fear at the moment we decide to go to bars or restaurants. In one hand we feel unconfortable but on the other we know we have to support our family/friends that own small businesses. Minesweeper conveys the situation pretty well for me. Can you find the similarities as well?

Slot Machine
Uncertain machines for uncertain times. What will luck bring you today?

Where is Wally?
Where is Wally in Covid times? This game is now easiest than ever, take advantage! Social distancy has instaured a new behaviour among population. At the beginning, everything was supposed to be a matter of weeks to get everything back to normal. Now, social game has different rules.

Masquerade
Can you imagine how traditional masquerades would look like nowadays?

Heroes
Heroes are not really used to cover their mouth. Actually, some of them tend to show only that part of their body. Now, they are in a big trouble with that.

The definition of ecological fashion has a focus on clothing that takes into account not only the environment, but also the health of the consumers who will wear the clothes and the working conditions of the people involved in making clothes.

Slave Labour
It is well known some fashion firms hire slave labour to make their clothes. In this illustration I report the situation of lots of children who lost their childhood amount sewing machines and huge a mountains of clothes for a insufficient salary. It is a really dramatic reality that the majority of the times we are buying unnecessary clothes we are not taking into account.

2020.
Private commission made for RedApe Agency, based in Australia. In this project, the main idea was to rebuild their own logo, using my own monochromatic style.
The ape itself represents a kind of “Creativity Factory” which works merging and filtering every reality around him into new artistic creations. This “super-ideas-processor” is made of elements from technological and natural world and build a more creative and idealized one. Through such an expandable element like steam, creativity and arts are released and spread. That’s the way I imagined the agency and this was the concept I wanted to convey with this illustration.
About the process, I normally like to work taking all the project’s related elements out of context and reorganize them aesthetically as a collage. It’s quite interesting to see how some unrelated concepts actually work together amazingly. After some adjustments, the drawing moment starts. As my style and subject is quite similar, I tend to use some recurrent elements like steam, wood, and some natural textures. It also makes my work consistent.
